Located in the Free State province, the Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality covers six local municipalities: Dihlabeng, Maluti-A-Phofung, Mantsopa, Nketoana, Phumelela, and Setsoto. Named after political activist Edwin Thabo Mofutsanyana, the district faces socio-economic challenges but remains a goldmine for tourism development. It’s also home to the breathtaking Golden Gate Highlands National Park in the scenic Drakensberg Mountains.

✅ Other related fields

WHO CAN APPLY? (Eligibility Criteria)
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
✔ Age: Between 16 and 35 years old
✔ Residency: Must be a resident of the Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality (Free State)
✔ Matric Completion: Must have completed Matric
✔ Course of Study: Must plan to study in one of the approved fields in 2025
✔ Recognized Institution: Must be enrolling at a recognized South African tertiary institution
✔ Financial Need: Must demonstrate financial need
✔ Academic Potential: Strong academic performance is essential
✔ Disadvantaged Background: Priority is given to students from underprivileged backgrounds

📍 OR collect an application form from TMDM offices or Communications Officers at these local municipalities: Dihlabeng, Maluti A Phofung, Mantsopa, Nketoana, Phumelela, and Setsoto.
