The Sakhisizwe Community Project, in partnership with Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), invites students to apply for their 2025 Bursary Programme.
Sakhisizwe Bursary 2025
ACSA manages South Africa’s nine major airports, including O.R. Tambo, Cape Town, and King Shaka International Airports, which serve as key entry points for international travellers. Sakhisizwe, a nonprofit organization, empowers local communities through education, skills development, and social unity. Together, they aim to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds in pursuing their academic dreams.
Study Fields Covered by the Sakhisizwe Bursary
Bursaries will be awarded to students pursuing studies in the following fields:
- Accounting
- Environmental Studies
- Engineering
- Law
- Information Technology
- Property Valuation / Management
Sakhisizwe Bursary Coverage
The bursary provides financial support for the following expenses:
- Tuition fees.
- Textbooks.
- Accommodation.
- A stipend allowance.
Who Can Apply for the Sakhisizwe Bursary?
To qualify for the bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be studying towards a qualification in one of the approved fields.
- Be entering your 2nd or 3rd year of study in 2025.
- Be enrolled or accepted to study at a recognized South African university.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Come from a previously disadvantaged background.
Steps to Apply
- Submit clear copies of the following:
- Application letter: Include a brief description of your home background.
- Academic record.
- Proof of university registration/acceptance.
- Proof of residence.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) (maximum three pages).
