The North West Provincial Government invites applications for the Victor Thebe Sifora Provincial Bursary Scheme for the 2025 academic year.
NWPG Bursary supports students residing in the North West province who wish to pursue studies in selected fields at accredited South African institutions.
About NWPG
The North West Provincial Government operates through various departments to drive growth and development in the province. Its Office of the Premier provides leadership for coordinated and efficient service delivery.

Eligibility Criteria for NWPG Bursary
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a South African citizen residing in the North West province.
- Currently in Matric (2024) or have completed Matric.
- Plan to study full-time toward an undergraduate qualification in the listed fields for 2025.
- Be enrolled or plan to enroll at an accredited public tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Demonstrate financial need (preference will be given to financially disadvantaged students).
Application Process for NWPG Bursary
To apply, follow these steps:
- Submit your application online at NWPG Bursary Application 2025.
- Enter “www.bursariesmzansi.co.za” in the field, asking how you heard about the bursary.
- Attach the following certified documents:
- ID document.
- Matric final results/certificate (NSC certificate if available).
- Latest academic results if currently studying.
- University acceptance letter (if available).
- Proof of parental/guardian income (payslips, affidavit, pension statements, or death certificate).
- Proof of residence (letter from Traditional Authority or Municipality Office).
- Proof of disability, if applicable (doctor’s letter/medical record).
Closing Date For NWPG Bursary
- Application deadline: 13 January 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by March 2025. If you do not hear back by this time, consider your application unsuccessful.
