The N3 Toll Concession (RF) Proprietary Limited (N3TC) invites students along the N3 Toll Route corridor to apply for its 2025 Bursary Programme.
N3TC Bursary 2025
N3TC holds a concession contract with the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) to manage a 415 km section of the N3 transport corridor. This section, known as the N3 Toll Route, stretches from the Cedara interchange in KwaZulu-Natal to the Heidelberg South interchange in Gauteng.
The concession agreement, which began in November 1999 and runs until 2029, is one of South Africa’s most successful public-private partnerships.
Study Fields Covered by the N3TC Bursary
Bursaries will be awarded to students pursuing undergraduate degree studies in the following fields:
- Accounting
- Civil Engineering
- Information Technology
- Marketing
- Mathematics and Science Teaching
N3TC Bursary Coverage
The bursary provides the following financial support:
- Tuition fees and mandatory textbooks.
- Additional expenses (e.g., accommodation) may be covered at N3TC’s discretion.
Additional Benefits:
- Bursaries are awarded for one academic year at a time, with extensions subject to N3TC’s approval.
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you do not receive feedback, consider your application unsuccessful.
Who Can Apply for the N3TC Bursary?
To qualify for the N3TC Bursary Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Reside in one of the following local municipal areas along the N3 Toll Route corridor:
- Free State: Mafube, Maluti-a-Phofung, Phumelela
- Gauteng: Lesedi
- KwaZulu-Natal: Alfred Duma, iNkosi Langalibalele, Mpofana, Okhahlamba, uMngeni
- Mpumalanga: Dipaleseng
- Have completed Matric.
- I am studying towards an undergraduate degree in one of the approved fields.
- Be entering your 3rd, 4th, or Honours year of study in 2025.
- Be enrolled at a recognized and accredited South African university.
- Have a strong academic record and maintain a minimum average of 60%.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Have no outstanding fees.
Steps to Apply
- Download and Complete the Application Form:
- Download the N3TC Bursary Application Form 2025 (.pdf).
- Submit clear copies of the following certified documents:
- ID document.
- Full academic record.
- Proof of university admission/provisional admission (on the institution’s letterhead).
- Proof of residence.
- The current fee statement reflects fees and payments for all prior years of study.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Two reference letters from current university lecturers.
- If disabled: A doctor’s note confirming disability.
- Submit Your Application:

Important Notes:
- Certified documents must not be older than 3 months.
- Incomplete or late applications will NOT be considered.
