Hulamin is offering bursaries for the 2025 academic year to help young South Africans achieve their dreams in various technical and engineering fields.
Study Fields Covered by the Bursary
The Hulamin Bursary is available for undergraduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Bursary Coverage
The Hulamin Bursary provides full financial support to successful applicants.
The bursary covers:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation
- Book and meal allowance
- Laptop
- Medical aid insurance
Additionally, bursary recipients will have the opportunity to gain work experience by participating in paid vacation work during university holidays.
Funding Duration and Renewal
The Hulamin Bursary is awarded for one academic year at a time.
However, if you perform well in your studies, you may be eligible for renewal.
Students must maintain good academic progress to continue receiving funding in the following years.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the Hulamin Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be from a previously disadvantaged background
- Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Plan to study or be currently studying an undergraduate degree in one of the listed fields
- Meet the entry requirements of your chosen study field
- Be entering your 1st to 4th year of undergraduate study in 2025
- Be studying or accepted to study at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa
Steps to Apply
To apply for the Hulamin Bursary, follow these steps:
- Download and complete the Hulamin Bursary Application Form 2025 (.pdf)
- Gather the required supporting documents:
- Certified copy of your ID document
- Certified copy of your latest Matric results (if still in Matric)
- Certified copy of your Matric certificate (if you have completed Matric)
- Certified copy of your recent academic record (if currently studying)
- Proof of University Acceptance or Registration (on university letterhead)
- Short CV (maximum 2 pages)
