The GABS bursary is specifically for students who are studying towards a BSc in Computer Science. 

If you are already enrolled in this program, you may qualify for funding.

Golden Arrow Bus Services (GABS) Bursary Coverage

The bursary will cover a variety of study-related expenses to help you focus on your education without financial stress. 

These include:

• Full tuition fees
• Accommodation costs (as per the actual university charges)
• Transport costs
• A monthly allowance of R4 000 (subject to change as determined by GABS)

Funding Duration and Renewal

The bursary will fund students for the remaining years of their BSc Computer Science degree, starting from their 2nd year of study in 2025.

However, there is a condition attached: bursary recipients must work for Golden Arrow Bus Services after they graduate. 

The work period will be equivalent to the number of years for which they received bursary funding.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the GABS bursary, you must meet the following requirements:

1. Be a South African citizen
2. Be studying for a BSc in Computer Science
3. Be entering your 2nd year or higher of study in 2025
4. Have a combined household income of not more than R400 000 per year (or **R600 000 if living with a disability)
5. Be a SASSA grant recipient (automatically qualifies)
6. Be willing to work for GABS after completing your studies

1. Prepare your supporting documents.

4. Attach all required documents to your email.

There is no application form for this bursary. Simply submit the required documents via email.

You must submit clear, certified copies of the following:

• South African ID document
• Matric certificate
• Latest academic transcript
• Proof of enrolment (letter from your institution)
• Proof of address
• Parent/guardian proof of household income (latest payslips, bank statements, or an affidavit if unemployed)
• Two recommendation letters (from academic or professional referees)
• Disability assessment report (if applicable)
• Death certificate of parents (if orphaned)

Make sure all documents are complete and correctly certified before submission.
