For the 2025 academic year, the Tomorrow Trust is inviting applications for its bursary program that offers financial aid and personal development opportunities to students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in South Africa.
Key Eligibility Requirements
Below are the required criteria:
Undergraduate Students:
- South African citizens aged 18-30 years.
- Currently in Matric or already completed Matric.
- Enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in any field at a South African public university.
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in recent exams.
- Household income less than R650,000 per annum.
Postgraduate Students:
- South African citizens aged 18-35 years.
- Completed Matric and currently pursuing or planning to pursue postgraduate studies in 2025.
- Achieved a minimum of 60% for their undergraduate degree and Mathematics in Matric.
- Household income less than R600,000 per annum.
Preference is given to candidates as defined under the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Act.
Bursary Coverage and Benefits
The Tomorrow Trust bursary covers:
- Full university tuition fees.
- Textbooks, equipment, accommodation, meals, transport, and a living allowance.
Beyond financial support, recipients receive:
- Monthly psychosocial support focusing on mental well-being.
- Academic coaching and career guidance.

Required Documents:
- Certified copy of your ID document.
- Recent head-and-shoulders photograph.
- Grade 11 final report and Matric June report (if in Matric).
- Certified Matric certificate (if completed).
- Full academic record with June 2024 results or progress report.
- Provisional university acceptance letter (if applicable).
- Combined proof of parental or guardian income (latest payslips, SASSA proof, pension documents, or affidavits for unemployment or deceased parents).
- Reference letter from a teacher, mentor, lecturer, or tutor.
Ensure all documents are clear and in the specified format to avoid disqualification.
Application Deadline
The initial deadline was moved to 15 October 2024 after an extension was granted.
