The Mercedes-Benz bursary covers the following expenses:

Recipients may also have the opportunity to participate in vacation work at Mercedes-Benz in East London during academic holidays.

Who Can Apply For Mercedes-Benz Bursary?

To qualify for the Mercedes-Benz bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or a foreign national eligible for work visas/permits under the Immigration Act 13, 2002.
• Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
• Be enrolled or planning to enrol full-time in one of the approved fields of study in 2025.
• Be studying or accepted at a recognized and accredited university in South Africa.
• Achieve a minimum overall average of 70% in Matric (3rd term results for current Matric students; final results for tertiary students).
• If you are currently studying, have a minimum overall average of 65% for the most recent semester.
• Not be employed by the Mercedes-Benz South Africa Group of Companies.
• Preference will be given to:
  • Children of Mercedes-Benz employees
  • Students from the Eastern Cape region
  • First-year students
