Recipients may also have the opportunity to participate in vacation work at Mercedes-Benz in East London during academic holidays.
Who Can Apply For Mercedes-Benz Bursary?
To qualify for the Mercedes-Benz bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen or a foreign national eligible for work visas/permits under the Immigration Act 13, 2002.
- Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
- Be enrolled or planning to enrol full-time in one of the approved fields of study in 2025.
- Be studying or accepted at a recognized and accredited university in South Africa.
- Achieve a minimum overall average of 70% in Matric (3rd term results for current Matric students; final results for tertiary students).
- If you are currently studying, have a minimum overall average of 65% for the most recent semester.
- Not be employed by the Mercedes-Benz South Africa Group of Companies.
- Preference will be given to:
- Children of Mercedes-Benz employees
- Students from the Eastern Cape region
- First-year students
