By | January 4, 2025

The Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA) plays a role in South Africa’s education and training field.

As an official Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA), INSETA is committed to developing critical and scarce skills within the insurance sector.

Through programs like the Insurance Sector Student Fund (ISSF) Bursary Scheme, INSETA ensures that students, graduates, and workers are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving economy.

INSETA Program 2025

INSETA’s mission centers on bridging the skills gap in the insurance sector by providing access to quality education and training opportunities.

The ISSF Bursary Scheme is a key initiative under this mission.

Funded by public and private entities, the program aims to empower students and professionals by upskilling, reskilling, and multi-skilling them across various disciplines within the insurance value chain.

By addressing financial barriers, the ISSF Bursary promotes growth in key professions such as actuary, compliance officer, software developer, and insurance claims administrator, among others.

This initiative not only enhances individual career prospects but also strengthens South Africa’s insurance sector by cultivating a well-trained workforce.
