BASF South Africa Trust Bursary Program 2025
The BASF South Africa Trust Bursary Program is a scholarship program to support talented and deserving students pursuing higher education in South Africa.
The program aims to empower the youth of South Africa by providing funding for their studies and preparing them for a successful career.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the bursary program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a South African citizen.
- I am studying or planning to study full-time at a recognized institution of higher learning in South Africa.
- Have a minimum average mark of 65% in their latest academic record.
Fields of Study
The bursary program prioritizes students pursuing degrees in the following fields:
- Engineering (chemical, industrial, mining, mechanical, metallurgical, biomedical)
- BSc (chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy, agriculture)
Bursary Value
The bursary program covers the following expenses:
- University tuition fees
- University-accredited accommodation
- Textbook allowance
- Laptop allowance (first year only)
- Meal allowance
How to Apply
To apply for the BASF South Africa Trust Bursary Program, follow these steps:

- Attach clear copies of the required documents, which include:
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric certificate/results (certified copy)
- Full academic record, including most recent results (certified copy)
- Parent/guardian proof of income (certified copies)
- Curriculum Vitae (maximum three pages)
- Essay (12pt font, 1.5 line spacing, two pages) on the topic: “The current and future state of my field of study, how I will contribute when I graduate, and why I should receive financial support to study in this field.”
