The Athlone Institute Trust (AIT) is inviting students to apply for the Athlone Institute Bursary Project Fund (AIBPROF) for the 2025 academic year.
Athlone Institute Bursary Project Fund (AIBPROF)
The Athlone Institute Bursary is aimed at helping students from Paarl or Mbekweni in the Western Cape or those who are parishioners at any of the five member churches of AIT.
The goal is to support students who need financial assistance to pursue their studies at a recognised tertiary institution.
Study Fields Covered by the Bursary
One of the best things about the AIBPROF bursary is that it is open to students in any field of study.
Whether you want to study engineering, teaching, law, business, or any other course, you are eligible to apply.
The bursary is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Bursary Coverage
The bursary will cover part of your registration fees and tuition fees.
The total amount awarded to each student will be decided by the Athlone Institute Trust based on available funding and the applicant’s financial need.
This means that while the bursary may not cover your entire tuition, it will help reduce the financial burden.
Funding Duration and Renewal
The bursary is awarded for one academic year at a time.
If you are already receiving the bursary and wish to continue receiving support, you must reapply each year.
To qualify for renewal, you must have passed your previous year of study and continue to meet the eligibility criteria.
