- Be a South African citizen
- Have completed a Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance (minimum 65% average and 60% per course)
- Have been admitted to an Honours or Master’s programme in a critical skills field
- Be studying at a public university or university of technology in South Africa
- Show leadership potential, innovation, and a commitment to making a positive impact
- Be dedicated to South Africa’s economic and social development
- Preference is given to African, Indian, and Coloured students to promote diversity and inclusion
Steps to Apply
- Download and complete the application form
- Gather the required supporting documents, including:
- Certified copy of your ID document
- Your most recent academic transcript
- Certified copies of your parents’ or guardians’ ID documents
- Proof of household income (payslips, pension slip, affidavit if unemployed)
- Home loan statement, council rates, or rental agreement
- Latest three months’ bank statements (applicant and parents/guardians)
- Financial checks affidavit (downloadable from the scholarship site)
- Submit your application at your university’s bursary office.
