If you are passionate about cooking and dream of becoming a professional chef, the SA Chefs Bryan Montgomery Bursary Fund could help you succeed.
SA Chefs Bryan Montgomery Bursary Fund 2025
The SA Chefs Bryan Montgomery Bursary Fund is offered by the South African Chefs Association (SA Chefs) to help young aspiring chefs with their studies.
If you are currently training in professional cookery, this is a fantastic opportunity to get financial assistance and grow in your career.
Study Fields Covered by SA Chefs Bryan Montgomery Bursary Fund
The Bryan Montgomery Bursary Fund is specifically for students who are studying towards a professional cookery program.
The preferred courses include:
- Occupational Qualifications in Cook and Chef
- Any recognized culinary training program at an SA Chefs Skills Development Provider Member institution
If you are enrolled in one of these programs, you should consider applying for this bursary.
Bursary Coverage
This bursary provides partial financial support for tuition fees.
The bursary amount is R30 000, which is paid directly to the training institution.
This means that students do not receive the money directly, but instead, their tuition fees are covered up to this amount.
Funding Duration and Renewal
The bursary will only cover tuition fees for one academic year.
If students require funding for another year, they will need to reapply and go through the selection process again.
Receiving the bursary in one year does not guarantee that you will receive it the next year.
