This bursary aims to support students pursuing studies in the following fields:

  • Sound Engineering
  • Television Production

Note: The bursary will not cover Performing Arts, Acting, or Music and Dance studies.

How the Media Bursary Works

Shortlisted applicants will need to attend an interview, and all applicants will be notified about the outcome of their application after the recruitment process is completed.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the eMedia Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be between 17 and 35 years old
  • Have completed Matric with a minimum overall average of 65%
  • Be studying, or planning to study full-time, in one of the listed media fields in 2025
  • Be enrolled or accepted for study at an accredited South African university
  • Show a strong passion for pursuing a career in the media industry
  • Have a household income of less than R600,000 per annum
