This bursary program is aligns with the Municipality’s goal to support education and address the skills gap in the country.
The Greater Letaba Municipality, located in Limpopo, is a Category B Local Municipality, housing 130 rural villages.
The Municipality also boasts a wealth of natural resources, nature reserves, and tourist attractions, making it a hub for various economic activities.
Study Fields Covered by the Greater Letaba Municipality Bursary
The Greater Letaba Municipality Bursary is open to students residing within the municipal area of Greater Letaba (Limpopo) who are pursuing undergraduate studies in the following fields:
- Agricultural Science
- Engineering and Built Environment
- Finance
- Information Technology
- Tourism
Greater Letaba Municipality Bursary Coverage
The bursary covers all necessary expenses during the bursary agreement, including:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees
- Study materials
- Accommodation
- Meals
The bursary funds will be paid directly to the candidate’s tertiary institution. Successful applicants will be required to sign a bursary agreement with the Municipality, committing to the terms and conditions of the program.
Eligibility Requirements for the Greater Letaba Municipality Bursary
Before applying for the Greater Letaba Municipality Bursary, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- You must reside within the Greater Letaba Municipality in Limpopo province.
- You must have completed Matric.
- You must be studying or intend to study full-time to attain an undergraduate qualification in one of the fields listed above.
- You must be studying or have been accepted to study at a recognized and accredited University, Technikon, or FET institution in South Africa.
- You must have a strong academic record.
- You must be in financial need.
- Students living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

To apply for the Greater Letaba Municipality Bursary, follow these steps:
- Download and complete the Greater Letaba Municipality Bursary Application Form 2025 (PDF format).
- Also, you can collect a copy of the application form at the following Municipal sub-offices:

- Senwamokgope
- Kgapane
- The main office in Modjadjiskloof
- Submit the following supporting documents with your completed application form:
- Certified copy of your ID document
- Matric certificate or final results
- Most recent academic results (if currently studying)
- Proof of admission at a tertiary institution (on the institution’s letterhead)
- Certified copies of your parents’ or guardians’ ID documents
- Proof of income for parents/guardians (latest payslips, affidavit if unemployed, proof of SASSA grant or pension if applicable)
- Proof of joint annual income (affidavit)
- Proof of residence
- Testimonial from a previous school or institution or Traditional Authority
- Motivational letter

Closing Date
The closing date for the Greater Letaba Municipality Bursary is 24 January 2025 at 15:00. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted, so be sure to apply before the deadline.
