Enel Bursary Program 2025

In partnership with Dalitso Holdings, Enel Green Power invites applications for the 2024 bursary programme. 

This initiative is designed to support underprivileged youth residing within 50km of Enel’s operational sites in the Free State, Northern Cape, and Western Cape. 

The program aligns with Enel’s mission to foster economic development and empower deserving students to pursue their academic aspirations.

Fields Covered

The bursary is open to candidates pursuing studies in any field at the tertiary level. 

Additionally, high school students from Grade 8 to Matric are eligible to apply. 

This inclusivity ensures a broad reach and impact, empowering young minds from diverse academic disciplines.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a South African citizen.
  2. Residence: Live within 50km of Enel sites (Garob Wind Farm, Pulida Energy, Sublunary Trading, Soetwater Wind Farm, or Karusa Wind Farm).
  3. Currently in Grade 7 to Grade 11 and progressing to the next academic year in 2024.
  4. Be in Matric in 2024 with confirmed university acceptance for 2025, or currently enrolled in university.
  5. Achieve a minimum overall average of 65%.
  6. Have a household income below R357,000 per annum.
  7. Applications from candidates with disabilities are encouraged.

Required Documents

Ensure all required documentation is included to avoid disqualification:

  1. Certified ID copy (not older than six months).
  2. Parents’ or guardians’ certified ID copies (if under 18).
  3. Latest school report (for high school applicants).
  4. Proof of university acceptance (for first-year tertiary students).
  5. Recent academic transcripts (for current tertiary students).
  6. Proof of residence.
  7. Proof of household income (before deductions).
  8. Medical certificate (if applicable).
  9. Testimonial from an educational official, including:
    • Official’s name, position, institution, contact details, signature, date, and institution’s stamp.
    • Comments on academic potential, leadership, home circumstances, and a recommendation for the bursary.

Expenses Covered

The bursary provides comprehensive support:

  1. High School Students: School fees, textbooks, stationery, uniforms, and transport costs.
  2. Tertiary Students: Tuition, registration, learning materials, textbook allowance, meal allowance, travel costs, examination fees (if applicable), and university accommodation.

Selection Process

Dalitso Holdings and Enel Green Power South Africa oversee the selection process. 

While interviews may be conducted, the organizations reserve the right not to award the bursary. 

All decisions are final, and successful candidates will be notified directly by Dalitso Holdings.
