Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the BCE Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be under 25 years of age.
  • Come from a previously disadvantaged background.
  • Be studying or intending to study full-time in one of the specified fields.
  • Be enrolled or accepted at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
  • I am currently unemployed.

Value of the Bursary

The bursary covers tuition fees, study materials, and incidentals up to R150 000 annually. Shortlisted candidates may also benefit from additional opportunities, such as mentorship or internships, depending on their field of study.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents along with their completed application form:

  • A certified copy of their South African ID or ID card.
  • A certified copy of their matric certificate or latest statement of results is required.
